Department of Anaesthesia

These pages are used to organise consultant cover in obstetric anaesthesia.

We aim to provide ten sessions per week of supervised training, during the busiest periods for the delivery suite. This supervised training is provided through fixed commitments in our job plans. When a consultant is on leave, other consultants try to provide cover in order to provide high supervision rates.

The information on these pages changes regularly and is a guide to the supervision arrangements. The on call cover is always specified in our weekly department rota.
